01THE CHALLENGE

Expanding broadband access across America requires tracking hundreds of grants across thousands of communities, with full federal audit visibility.

A nationwide broadband expansion initiative set out to bring high-speed internet access to underserved communities across the country. To accomplish it, the program needed to manage a large and complex portfolio of grants, awarding funding, tracking milestones, managing compliance, and reporting results to federal oversight bodies.

The existing toolset wasn't built for this scale. Grant applications arrived through multiple channels. Award status was tracked in spreadsheets. Reporting required manual aggregation. The organization couldn't answer basic questions, how much has been awarded, to whom, in which states, against what milestones, without significant staff time and error risk.

The solution needed to handle the volume, meet federal data security requirements, and be usable by program managers who were not technical users.

The platform replaced manual processes at every step. Program managers could see the full portfolio in a single dashboard. Grant award status was updated in real time as milestones were hit. Compliance reporting that previously took days was generated in minutes.
